Step into the perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort. This Sears & Roebuck home was built in 1910 and lovingly updated. Day7 House sits within McKinney’s Historic Downtown Square — placing you within walking distance of boutique shops, wine bars, restaurants, and galleries, just outside the front door.

Designed for connection and relaxation, this full-home retreat sleeps up to nine guests across three thoughtfully appointed suites. Original shiplap walls and wood floors preserve the home’s century-old character, while the updated furnishings, stocked kitchen, and cozy outdoor spaces add a touch of contemporary ease.
Enjoy your morning coffee in the local shops or on the front porch swing, gather around the firepit after a day of eating and shopping, or simply unwind in one of the spacious suites. Whether you’re here for a wedding, a family getaway, or a creative retreat, Day7 offers a one-of-a-kind stay in McKinney’s most coveted location — just steps from everything.

Take a moment to enjoy the artwork displayed throughout the house. Most of the pieces were created by my grandfather, Rudy Dengel, and it’s a true joy to share his work in this space. As an artist myself, I spent years creating art within these very walls, and it feels special to now have them adorned with my grandfather’s paintings.
Rudy’s work, primarily in watercolor, reflects the beauty he saw around him — from serene scenes in East Hampton to the sunny shores of Fort Myers. May his art inspire your own creativity during your stay, and don’t miss the paint-by-numbers piece upstairs — a playful nod to the artistic spirit that fills this home.
